“Insignificance For Christ”

I thought folks in pews were going to pass out when I was halfway through the long genealogy reading that is a choice for the Gospel.  I started off the homily by saying 90% of American Catholics probably heard the short version today.  But I read the long version because there were many insignificant people lists in Christ’s genealogy.  My points was that even in insignificance, there significance.  A Christmas Eve homily for December 24th, 2012.
